Our yearlong theme is "Community".
Our basic tenant is "We all live and work together."
I integrate all curriculum areas into the yearlong theme. Our "thematic
units" (known as topics) fit into the components that organize the theme
Community. Each component is approximately 6 weeks.
This is a sample of our yearlong theme. It changes each year based on
student interest. I have listed different topics that I have used with
each component. I do not do every topic every year.
