Our new yearlong theme is "Where in the world
do you live?"
We are focused on "exploring and observing habitats"
I integrate all curriculum areas into the yearlong theme. Our "thematic
units" (known as topics) fit into the components that organize the theme
"Where in the world do you live?". Each component is approximately 6 weeks.
Being There" Experiences include field trips, guest speakers, & other
experiences to develop students' concepts.
This is a sample of our yearlong theme. It changes each year based on
student interest. I have listed different topics that I have used with
each component. I do not do every topic every year.
