I was inspired by my friend, Kathy Griffin, to use Power Points in my classroom. I have an averkey that hooks up my computer to my television. Students do not have to stand around the computer to see the Power Point- they can watch it on t.v. I started creating Power Points to go with music, as well as predictable texts. The great thing is that you can print the power points and bind it into a book for your reading center! I use these during transitions, to introduce nursery rhymes, for shared reading, and other times throughout the day.

It is a copyright violation to give the artists' music away. Therefore, I have deleted them from the Song Power Points. If you have the music, there are instructions to reinsert (along with many other great Power Points) on Kelly's Kindergarten (http://www.kellyskindergarten.com/PowerPoints/powerpoints.htm). Scroll to the very bottom to the yellow box for instructions. There are also great Power Points on Mrs. Mayher's class website, (http://www.kent.k12.wa.us/staff/aliciamayher/powerpoints.htm).
