
Using the Frog
Street clip art, you can make a pictionary (picture dictionary) for
each letter of the alphabet. Laminate each book and bind on the
side.

Cut
Frog Street alphabet charts into puzzle. Using the Frog Street clip
art CD, print the correct letter on a small manila envelope. Use
envelope for storage.

Use the Frog
Street clip art CD and print the letter characters on iron on
transfer paper. Iron each character onto a clean white sock. Store
socks in a basket. Encourage students to hang alphabet in order on a
clothesline.

The 5 Green and
Speckled Frogs book was made out of a lunch sack! Glue the words on
the front. Tape one frog on the top of each sack. As you turn the
page, one frog "jumps in the pool" and disappears from the top!

Create Spin Art with a salad spinner
(make sure there are no holes in the bottom), small paper plates,
and spoonfuls of paint.

Make your own rubbing plates with a piece
of acetate (overhead projector sheets) and mailbox letters. Place
letters or numbers on acetate and use "naked crayons" (without the
wrappers) to make a rubbing.

Create another type of spin art with a
record player. Cut a slit in the paper plate. Place the plate on the
record player. Turn it on and hold a marker on the spinning plate.

Create a thunder
can from a soup can and spring. Drill a hole in the bottom of the
soup can. Put the spring in the hole, attaching it with hot glue.
Swirl the can around and listen to the sound that it makes.

Create a water
spout for your Itsy Bitsy Spider out of plastic tubing and a PVC
joint.

Create environmental print for
the block center. Take a picture of the store signs in your
community. Print, laminate, and pin to make a cylinder.
