We celebrated at Benjamin Bunny's Beach Bash!

These are some highlights from Frog Street 2006.

Using the Frog Street clip art, you can make a pictionary (picture dictionary) for each letter of the alphabet. Laminate each book and bind on the side.

Cut Frog Street alphabet charts into puzzle. Using the Frog Street clip art CD, print the correct letter on a small manila envelope. Use envelope for storage.

Use the Frog Street clip art CD and print the letter characters on iron on transfer paper. Iron each character onto a clean white sock. Store socks in a basket. Encourage students to hang alphabet in order on a clothesline.

The 5 Green and Speckled Frogs book was made out of a lunch sack! Glue the words on the front. Tape one frog on the top of each sack. As you turn the page, one frog "jumps in the pool" and disappears from the top!

Create Spin Art with a salad spinner (make sure there are no holes in the bottom), small paper plates, and spoonfuls of paint.

Make your own rubbing plates with a piece of acetate (overhead projector sheets) and mailbox letters. Place letters or numbers on acetate and use "naked crayons" (without the wrappers) to make a rubbing.

Create another type of spin art with a record player. Cut a slit in the paper plate. Place the plate on the record player. Turn it on and hold a marker on the spinning plate.

Create a thunder can from a soup can and spring. Drill a hole in the bottom of the soup can. Put the spring in the hole, attaching it with hot glue. Swirl the can around and listen to the sound that it makes.

Create environmental print for the block center. Take a picture of the store signs in your community. Print, laminate, and pin to make a cylinder.

From More than MacDonalds

Shaving cream is a great way to clean your tables. Looking for a great way to clean it up? Rub a styrofoam cup on the table!

From Splish, Splash, Sift, and Pour

I finally talked some fellow Tulsans into joining me this year. My co-teacher, Jennie McMillan and her mom, Kinder were both presenters.

Gracye McCoy, another Kendall-Whittier Kindergarten teacher was also a presenter at this years Splash.

Jennie and I relax at the beach with our Frog Street buddy, Benjamin Bunny!

What kind of trip would it be without meeting with the Frogs?

I met some of my Teachers.Net friends at Frog Street. This is me (Jillybean/K/OK) with vanna/tx and MrsKK >^..^<.

Shovels, sifters, and sandcastles- oh my! Frog Street went all out to make this another AWESOME year at Summer Splash!

Next year- Funny Fish's Fabulous Fifties! I will see you there.
