Discovery Bottles

Discovery Bottles are soda bottles filled with various items to explore a scientific concept. Some of the bottles, such as the relaxation, glitter, corn syrup and wave bottle, also work in your "safe place" to calm students. You can use 1 liter or 20 ounce soda/water bottles. The mini water bottles also work well for little hands. Filler can be rice, sand, cut paper, gravel, salt, etc. After you close your bottle, hot glue around the lid. You can also wrap plastic tape to keep your students from picking at the glue. I store my bottles in a large shower caddy in my cabinet. I label the front so I know exactly what bottles are in which caddy.
